Les Rencontres d’Arles 2026 aims to make photography a space for embracing the complexity of the world, connecting grand narratives with personal stories, and continuing to seek beauty, freedom, and sensitivity in reality. This 57th edition highlights major figures and new voices around key themes such as the Mediterranean and African regions, life, memory, childhood, and images as a force for transmission and transformation.
The 2026 Arles Drawing Festival (April 18 – May 17) celebrates Italy with the main exhibition “Viva l’Italia!”, dedicated to 20th-century Italian drawing and its leading figures. Among the main exhibitors: Piranesi, De Chirico, Morandi, Fontana, Crepax, Mattotti, Fellini, and Buzzati, alongside numerous modern and contemporary artists spread throughout the city.
